EBAY AND BUYERS
Summary: djoud25 expresses his disappointment and frustration with eBay, explaining that he is stopping selling on the platform after twenty years because of policies he sees as favoring dishonest buyers. He plans to use the site only for buying and encourages other sellers to be wary of the current rules. jacquelinedu36 wishes him good luck, to which djoud25 responds with gratitude.
I’m leaving the ebay site as a seller because their new rules favor scammers and other dishonest people. Today, the seller on ebay is always wrong. I’m throwing in the towel after being registered on the site for twenty years.
I’m keeping my account just for buying.
For those of you who plan to keep selling or start selling on ebay, take a very close look at their sales policy and know that if there are problems, in the end you’ll never win if you’re the seller.
I’ll give an example. You want to sell a hi-fi device that costs several thousand euros. A buyer has the same one broken. Well, he has a month to take out everything he’s interested in from yours and put it into his, then he opens a dispute for an item not as described and voilà, job done.
ebay’s automatic system will ask you to accept the return within 5 days, otherwise you lose both your device and your money.
Your profile and your reputation will count for ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.
For those who understand, enough said.
