eBay International Shipping in France for shipments to the United States after August 29, fees included?
Summary: 02poppy02 is looking for information about the eBay International Shipping program to sell in the United States from France, in order to avoid customs fees and taxes for their customers. They are wondering about the availability and how this program works compared to Etsy, which does not offer a DDP solution. *miss-tigri* provides a link to an informational page on the subject.
Hello,
I’m currently selling on Etsy and I’m trying to find a way to keep selling to the United States after August 29.
I read on a blog that eBay UK offers an international shipping program (Global Shipping Program GSP) that lets you send items DDP (Delivered Duty Paid -duties and taxes paid ), so that customers don’t get charged customs duties, taxes, or other fees upon receipt in the United States.
I searched on eBay France, but I can’t find enough information about this program, or about its transfer to the new service called “eBay International Shipping eIS”.
Does anyone here have an eBay store in France and use this program? Could you tell me more about its availability in France and how it works? Would this really help avoid the famous “Flat-rate fees - flat fees” that start at $80?
Etsy currently offers no DDP program for its sellers, apart from collecting local taxes from U.S. buyers, which is a completely separate process.
Thanks in advance for your help!
