Pitney Bowes shipping, your experiences?
Summary: nerwengalathil expressed concern about a package ordered on July 9 that did not arrive in time for a special event. Tracking shows inconsistent information, and the seller says the issue should be reported to eBay. lingma85 advised contacting eBay for help if the item does not arrive by the expected date, and suggested having a backup plan for the gift. nerwengalathil decided to wait for an update until Monday while exploring alternatives in case the delivery fails.
On July 9, I placed an order that was supposed to arrive before the 8th
But tracking from hell (sry)
Since the order, 3 different tracking numbers and each time the same message, only the date and time change so ...
The info is:

Pbi pitney bowes service
And that’s it
The question is, should I be worried?
On the Pitney Bowes site, it says to expect a service in 7 to 9 business days.
But if I want to receive it on the 8th, it needs to have been on the road since today to arrive on time (it’s a gift for an event)
Are they usually on time, have you had any issues with this service?
What should I do knowing that the seller tells me that once the package is dropped off at the eBay transshipment center I have to contact eBay because he can’t do anything for me.
And eBay customer service just replies that I have to wait longer for the tracking to update... (**laughs**)
Thanks everyone

OP3 years agoThe seller responds every time I write, he isn’t dodging me; what he says is that he doesn’t have any more info on the tracking than I do.
When I look at his shipment, he sent it 2 days after my order. So it seems to be within the rules on that side.
But it’s clear I won’t be taken in if there’s a problem
To be honest, our gift is actually a set; the first part goes with the second
We received the first part, but we’re still missing the seller’s part (worth €130)
Given the price, we’re definitely not going to give up on this.
The problem is that in France its price is much higher!
So it will no longer be possible for us to buy it, and as you’ll understand, plan B when you already have the first part of the gift is complicated.
We did think about the little note, but again, if the product doesn’t arrive, we’ll be in the same position
I therefore think we’re going to wait until Monday for one last update; after all, that will leave 4 working days, so it’s not impossible for them to keep their commitment,
let the seller know and, in parallel, look for a similar product on another sales site, even if it means a used item in like-new condition, just in case.. .
I’m going to read your links too
Thanks for your reply

Mentor3 years agoHello @nerwengalathil
It has to be simple.... You bought an item whose listing states a delivery date (Pitney Bownes or not...)...
If the item hasn't arrived by the date, you go here-------> Get help for an item that hasn't arrived | eBay and above all, don't let yourself be talked into by flimsy arguments...
The seller is responsible for the proper delivery of your purchase... By paying him shipping fees in advance, you gave him authority to make sure everything goes well... (whether the seller uses global shipping and his P.BONES or another method... it doesn't matter...)
Your question is about P.Bones... take a look at this link--> Search - eBay Community
Also, you need to allow between 8 days and 3 weeks depending on the paid and used shipping method, plus another good week with global shipping/P.Bownes...
It would be wiser to have a Plan B for your gift or make a "GIFT CERTIFICATE" with a photo while you wait for the parcel to arrive, if you're absolutely set on your purchase...
Kind regards
