Error choosing "payment received"
Summary: tenkamuteki is looking for advice after accidentally clicking "payment received" for an unpaid sale on eBay, which triggered a request for transaction fees. koalagris suggests checking existing discussions and contacting customer support, explaining that the rules have changed and customer support may no longer correct this mistake. tenkamuteki decides to contact customer support for help.
Hello community,
I’m looking to find out about the following situation.
A buyer made an offer for an item I was selling. I accepted the offer on February 8. The buyer still hadn’t paid after 4 days, despite two reminders. So I wanted to cancel the sale, but I accidentally clicked on "the buyer has paid." As a result, I’m stuck, because the buyer never responded to my messages and Ebay is asking me for about 6 euros in transaction fees.
Do you have any advice you could give me?
Have a good evening,
Julien

OP7 months agoI thought about the wire date, but I was hoping there might be a step I had missed.
Thank you for the details, I will try to contact them.
Have a nice rest of your day.

OP7 months agoGood evening Koalagris,
thank you for your feedback.
I looked through the threads, and I also tried to find the "A droite de votre vente, autre action, annuler indicateur paiement reçu." But I couldn't find it.
What do you mean by "it's done" please?
Kind regards
koalagris
Mentor7 months agoPay attention to the date of the threads...
There was a time when the indicator could be freely enabled/disabled,
Then you had to contact customer service,
And, according to the latest reports, customer service now refuses to do it....
Which doesn't stop you from asking them 😉

Mentor7 months agoGood evening @tenkamuteki
There’s no shortage of threads on this topic on the forum:
https://communaute.ebay.fr/t5/forums/searchpage/tab/message?advanced=false&allow_punctuation=false&q=erreur%20paiement%20re%C3%A7u
Apparently (last I heard) it’s a done deal, though you should still confirm with customer service...
