Summary: chocoreve2007 expresses frustration after refunding a buyer for a lamp that was allegedly broken, despite evidence that the package was collected with no apparent issue. The post office supposedly required it to be opened in front of an agent if there was visible damage. chocoreve2007 criticizes eBay customer service, calling it incompetent and useless, for not taking his claims into account.
hello, a buyer has just gotten a refund for a lamp worth €1200, claiming it arrived broken, even though he went to the post office to pick up the insured package. The post office told me that in the event of a damaged parcel, they require it to be opened in front of the postal worker so the insurance can be activated if needed. The buyer collected the parcel, so there was no apparent issue, but then claimed the lamp was in pieces once it got to his place. Knowing that the lamp was made of metal and glass, I can’t imagine the parcel stayed in good condition
Despite that, eBay refunded him despite my complaints, which went unanswered in any concrete way, just meaningless remarks from an incompetent and useless customer service team.
