Mandatory electronic invoicing as of 01/09/2026
Summary: krissphilatelie expresses frustration at the lack of information from a platform regarding the new mandatory e-invoicing requirements starting in September 2026. She also criticizes the many fees imposed by the platform, which can represent a significant share of her revenue. In addition, she says she is discouraged by the preferential treatment of private sellers and the lack of support in implementing the reforms.
I’m astonished by the total lack of information from eBay about the mandatory electronic invoicing starting on 01/ 09/2026. How can a platform of this importance provide no help to its sellers?
Honestly, eBay is getting more and more depressing: proportional fees, listing fees, fixed fees, store fees ...
Basically, eBay takes its cut at every stage; in my business I have to leave them between a third and half of my revenue.
eBay keeps issuing invoices that won’t be in the format allowed in two months.
And yet eBay reports all my sales to the Treasury in the annual report: it can’t be that complicated to do what’s needed so the invoices meet the new standards.
Between the promotions given every 15 days to the “so-called private sellers” who sell hundreds of items a year, the lack of support during reforms like this, and the excessive fees, I’m discouraged.

Regarding regulations, it's best to get the information from the source and not expect anything from eBay.
