charcoal imitation on paper
Summary: vilin55 bought an item presented as authentic, but it turned out to be a mechanical print. After leaving a negative review, the seller opened a defamation dispute, which led vilin55 to change the review. Because of this situation, vilin55 is looking for ways to resolve the problem, as the dispute mechanisms seem inaccessible. lingma85 advises using the item number available under the seller’s review and following a process to return the item and get a refund.
I bought an item that the seller believed was authentic (price and description), but it turned out it wasn’t! He then played on the nuances to close off any discussion and so pocketed a sum completely out of line with the item: 180 euros for a mechanical print. I left a rating that he considered defamatory and opened a dispute; I was able to modify the rating (without really understanding why it was defamatory). I filled out the appeal form and received an AI-type response within 24 hours reminding me of my duties ...I have 770 positive ratings in 23 years and I’m being made out to be a bad member, with threats of seeing my account blocked if I do it again. No account was taken of the seller’s listing, which could scam a buyer. And now, there is no way to contact anyone, no phone number, forms unrelated to the request ...When I enter the item number: no trace ...What recourse do I have left?
