close the account
in order to close my account you ask me to delete the listings but when I delete them you ask me to leave one, so now I’m asking you how I should go about closing my account

To remove the listings, you need to eliminate the auctions if there are any... then do what is in this link------>

It's done listing by listing.
In your case... start by ending the auction listing since there aren't any bids on it.
Once that's done (and eBay can't stop you from doing what you want with your account.)..

Also know that if you have taken paid options... (which remain due even if there was no sale) you'll have to settle them before you can close the account...
could that be the reason you're being prevented from ending a sale ... in order to have funds to pay for options you may have taken .... ??

If so... you do indeed have to sell before closing...

To close your account, you obviously need to no longer have any sales in progress.
