Shipping costs to pay twice?
Summary: 16pagre sold a document that he sent to a buyer by registered mail. The buyer didn’t pick up the parcel in time and is asking for a resend without wanting to pay the additional shipping costs. max2661953 advises that it’s up to the buyer to pay for the resend, since the EB guarantee does not cover an uncollected shipment.
Hello,
I have a small problem. I sold a document to a buyer. I sent it to him at the correct address, by registered padded envelope. The document arrived fine, but since the buyer was absent, La Poste left him a delivery notice. The buyer read it, but he took more than a week to contact La Poste, which, in the meantime, sent the document back to me. This buyer wants me to send it to him again. No problem. Only he doesn't want to pay the shipping costs again, even though he is entirely responsible for what happened. So who should pay these shipping costs? Will Paypal side with me? Thanks for any replies.
Happy Easter weekend

·2 years agoHello, @16pagre ,
It’s obviously up to him to pay for the new shipment.
The EB guarantee won’t apply to a shipment that wasn’t picked up.
