Return shipping costs
Summary: flor_1636 expresses frustration after receiving a defective car door via eBay, refusing to pay the return shipping even though the listing mentioned free returns. They note that the situation is complicated by their difficult financial situation. lingma85 responds by mentioning that the listing specifies return shipping costs are the buyer's responsibility and suggests repainting the door if it fits, or looking for another option. The response seems to encourage following the terms of the listing.
And the only thing eBay did to help me was give me the seller’s address and threaten me that I have to send it back before October 30 or else the case will be closed.
I’m unemployed with two children to support and I definitely can’t pay for a return. I probably also have to hire a carrier, and well, I can’t — I already saved up for several months just to buy the door. I don’t know what to do anymore, I got scammed on this site and they’re doing nothing

Mentor2 years agoGood evening @flor_1636
In the listing for your red door, which we can clearly see... it says------>
- sold for €85 with free delivery....
and it is also stated in the "return conditions" paragraph----> within 14 days and also the buyer pays the return shipping costs...
None of this matches at all what you say in your message...
Also, you gave him a tomato...
From all this, it follows that if you had a specific color for your vehicle, you need to give the color code, which is usually found on a small plate in the engine/body section, and not rely on the color rendering of your PC or phone.
If the door fits, you can have it repainted or do it yourself by buying the right paint (yes... yes... it can be done...), which would suit everyone... and/or send it back by carrier, paying the return shipping as indicated in the listing and look for another one...
Kind regards
