Sales fees
Summary: lipton60 says that his eBay account was hacked in 2019, which led to it being blocked. Since then, he has created a new account but found that selling fees are 10% plus €0.35 per item, which discourages him from selling stamps, which are often low-priced. He also regrets losing his history of positive transactions and asks for clarification on the current fees, expressing his hesitation to start selling his collection again because of these costs.
Hello,
eBay member for +/- 20 years, my account was hacked in 2019 and then blocked by eBay (for my own good). I gave up my stamp and letter collection since 2019. I recreated an account with my old username very recently. I see today that eBay takes 10% of the sale amount + 0.35 per item! Many stamps sell for €1 or even €0.50. Have I understood the amount of the fees correctly?
Also, I lost all my history +/- 1400 sales/purchase transactions and 100% positive feedback. I was never able to contact eBay or recover my history. Today, wanting to sell my collections, I hesitate to risk it given the fees (the famous €0.35).
Thanks for your help on this topic.
Have a good day.
