1-year warranty on the turbo, who should I contact on eBay besides the seller?
Hello everyone, I bought a turbo on eBay less than 1 year ago, and this one is leaking from the CHRA. I'd like to make use of the warranty, but I can't find any link on the purchase or on eBay for after-sales service. I've sent a message to the seller and I'm waiting for a reply, but if I don't get an answer, who should I contact? Thank you, best regards
You bought a turbo less than 1 year ago from a seller who isn’t replying to you.... and you’d like to use a warranty....
- if your seller is a French pro, you should be able to find their professional contact details on the site and warn them that, if they don’t pay you more attention, a case will be opened with the DGCCRF, which will ask for accountability...
- if your seller is a foreigner... you can already forget about any warranty beyond the 30 days after delivery allowed by eBay for a possible refund in case of a problem...
and consider getting another turbo elsewhere (in France preferably and why not near you...)
If you buy another one by mail order, don’t forget to ask for the information needed for the warranty to apply to the item from the date of purchase and in your name or proof of purchase/payment..., otherwise no warranty can apply to your purchase...
No more recourse on eBay (the dispute deadline for non-conformity must be within 30 days after delivery).
If your seller is a professional in France, it is up to them to cover the legal warranty; if they do not respond, put them on notice by registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt, before possibly contacting the DIRECCTE.
