I bought SD cards on eBay in July, covered by a 2-year warranty. The seller is in Paris. I sent back the defective item and the seller no longer responds and won’t refund me. eBay refuses to handle the dispute. What should I do
If the seller is a professional in France: formal notice by registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt to get the legal warranty enforced, before contacting the fraud authorities (if they’re a pro, their contact details are at best on the invoice issued, at worst they’re displayed on their eBay account and at the bottom of all their listings).
On eBay, the dispute period is 30 days from the delivery date (the site does not handle after-sales service for items sold).
No recourse if the seller is a private individual...
