Dispute management by eBay
Summary: Anonymous User is looking for information about how eBay handles disputes and feedback, claiming that disputes could prevent negative feedback and favor dishonest sellers. lingma85 responds that this understanding is incorrect and explains that only feedback containing words prohibited by eBay is blocked.
Hello,
I'm here looking for confirmation on how ebay handles disputes and feedback: I believe that when a dispute has been opened in a transaction, whether it has remained open or has been closed, ebay systematically prevents you from leaving feedback after the transaction. This makes it possible to limit negative feedback so as not to restrict transaction volume. This is how malicious sellers thrive on the platform with positive feedback rates above 95% even though they have found multiple small scams by exploiting the weak points of the system. Are there findings similar to mine?

you write---> " I think I understand that when a dispute has been opened in a transaction, whether it has remained open or has been closed, ebay systematically prevents leaving feedback after the transaction."
Indeed, that's just a belief...
If ebay prevents a comment.... it's because it contains so-called forbidden words in that place, either vulgar, angry, or simply ending in "ment"....
Kind regards
