Unable to pay with PayPal
Summary: snoopy_flanigan is having trouble completing purchases via PayPal because the payments are being declined, which is causing fraud protection to block their card. After contacting their bank and PayPal, they find that the problem seems to be coming from eBay. koalagris suggests waiting for the data to update, and recommends clearing the internet cache or trying another browser to fix the issue.
Since yesterday I haven't been able to complete my purchases when trying to pay with Paypal, each time my payments have been rejected which caused the fraud department to block my card, believing it was an attempt to commit fraud on my card. This morning I called the bank, which unblocked the card for me, checked that the balance on my card is positive, everything is fine. A few hours later I try again to complete my purchases on eBay and once again the payments by Paypal are rejected. I called PayPal, on their side everything is fine they tell me that it is the eBay site that rejects PayPal payments so I would like to know why?

Mentor2 years agoP.S.: also think about possibly clearing your internet cache (or using another browser), as it’s possible your multiple unsuccessful attempts may have been stored in memory.

and what if you waited 1 or 2 days, for the data to update between ebay and ppal? (just in case, just an idea, since you explain that the problem dates from yesterday, Easter Monday, and that you did the unblocking steps this morning with your bank)
