Unable to bid on an ad - more than 2 unpaid ads in the last 6 months
Summary: poilau expresses frustration after being blocked on an auction because of unpaid lots. They don’t understand how the site works, since a seller canceled an order, claiming non-payment, even though they had sent requests for a combined invoice with no response. They criticize the system that lets sellers cancel sales so easily, even when attempts to communicate were made to resolve the situation.
Hello,
I’ve just been blocked on an auction for an unpaid lot over the last 6 months.
I have to admit I no longer understand how this site works.
This weekend, a buyer cancelled my order, claiming that I hadn’t paid for it ... even though during the week I had sent him two requests for a combined invoice for 4 auctions won, requests to which he never bothered to respond.
How can they rule against me and consider me a bad payer, when I sent him a request for an invoice twice?
In fact, it’s become very simple now for a seller to cancel an auction that didn’t get the desired final price, to the buyer’s detriment:
- not respond to requests for combined payment;
- go silent for 4 days;
- then cancel the sale on the pretext that the buyer didn’t pay on time.
Honestly, wouldn’t it have been clearer, and more honest on his part, to simply tell me that he didn’t want to combine the shipping costs? I would have bought the lots anyway.
There is clearly a flaw in the system.
