tax to declare in 2024
Hello. I would like to know whether the platform has to report my account if I sell them for €1800 for 100 items. And if I sell them for €2500 but 25 items. I've seen several sites and I didn't understand everything. Thanks.

eBay gave the details of what they do/will do here in a summary table------->
EU DAC7 Directive and Platform Tax Transparency Law – Sales reporting obligations | eBay
So you need to understand that if the seller has exceeded €2,000 and/or 30 sales... eBay will give your account to the tax authorities (the bots stick to threshold effects without taking circumstances into account)... in case of disagreement... you will need to see your Inspector to possibly make a correction with supporting evidence..
Regards
WARNING
these amounts cannot be combined if you sell on several sites..
If you can defend your position as a private seller, the total of your cumulative sales must not exceed these thresholds, otherwise => that's bad news...

OP2 years agoThank you for your help.
Example: I want to sell my CPA collection. I'm selling 200 of them at €1 each; that makes €200 (I note that shipping is included) So the platform declares this huge sum!!!! The people who come up with these laws must have done a lot of studying. Regards.

Your data will be shared in the following cases :

The total amount of your income corresponds to the total amount you earn from your sales, including shipping fees and any taxes you may receive, such as VAT. Taxes collected and remitted by eBay, taxes charged on fees, and amounts deducted by eBay for fees and commissions, discount vouchers, canceled or deleted orders, and returns are excluded from the calculation.
The tax authority filings are made each year in January for the previous year. However, the first filings will be made in April 2024.
