I was bidding on an item
Summary: deleriguillaum_0 expresses his frustration after his best bid was canceled by a seller for a vague reason related to identification. lingma85 explains that sellers can رفض bids without giving specific reasons and suggests contacting the seller, but advises not to expect any explanations. *miss-tigri* empathizes, saying it’s better to avoid potentially more serious complications and recommends looking for another seller.
Hello
I was in the middle of bidding on an item when my bid was simply cancelled by the seller even though I was the highest bidder.
The reason I was given is that the seller could not identify me.
This action prevented me from bidding again in hopes of winning the auction.
This doesn't seem very clear to me.
How can I get a valid reason for this action.
I have bought multiple items in the past without any problem.
Thank you for clarifying.

Mentor2 years agoHello
I understand your disappointment but this is better than having to go through the process of getting a refund because he won’t have shipped your purchase ....
Find what makes you happy with someone else 😉

Mentor2 years agoHello @deleriguillaum_0
A seller has the option to refuse a bidder's bids for reasons that are their own and that they are not obliged to tell you about.
Your seller says "that he could not identify you"... Fair enough...
- quite simply, the price he would have gotten for his item would not have been enough if you had stayed the only bidder.....-
- since he couldn't tell you that.... he probably meant your profile, which is that of an occasional buyer
If this seller has not put you on his list of banned buyers, try contacting him----> Contact a seller | eBay
But don't expect anything from him or from eBay on this subject.
Best regards
