I ordered a book and I got a stethoscope
Summary: deni-geni expresses frustration after receiving a stethoscope instead of the book ordered through eBay. So I ordered a book on March 11.
I track the package via DHL .
On March 30 DHL tells me that my package was delivered to the mailbox.
Surprise, it's not my book but a stethoscope!!!!!!
I write to the seller with photos of what I received and to this day still no response !!!!
I go to the purchased items section, I see my book, track package, indeed delivered on March 30 .
Then below, a second photo of the book with track package also indicated and there the number is en route ????
It has been in Melrose Park since April 2 !!!! It hasn't moved since then .
I thought Ebay would tell me, okay there is a mistake, but no, they tell me, well, we saw that your package was delivered .That I didn't get my book but something else, they couldn't care less .It's marked package delivered, period (Meaning I'm the one at fault!!!!! ) .So their eBay guarantee speech, blah blah blah, is just hot air to me . So there you go, I don't know what to think or do anymore .
So thank you for your help.
Anyway, I'm furious because I'm an honest person and I thought Ebay was good, but I think I was wrong .

There's also one weird thing: I have the package tracking twice.
1 of the two is delivered, the one from March 30, the date I should have received my book.
And a second one lower down says package tracking but this one indicates
That the process was completed in Melrose Park on April 2.
And since that date it hasn't moved anymore.
I wanted to send you screenshots but I don't know if I can do that here

Melrose is a parcel sorting center in Illinois... Your US seller works with ebay.com’s delivery platform...
The parcel will receive (or has already received..) a new tracking number after passing through Melrose.. and will arrive in France in the next 8 to 10 days...
There is a big silence that is worrying buyers... but in general everything goes well... and the purchases arrive..
Otherwise.. and if you have received nothing by the expected delivery date given to you by the site.. you can consider requesting help for an item not received...

As for the phone number.... there isn't one....
BUT
- you need to contact eBay through Customer Service here-----> eBay Customer Service during business hours and ask to be called back... go through the "contact us" tab on this link...
Otherwise, if your purchase is not delivered within the expected time frame (deadline shown on your order) do what I told you in the previous message--------> Get help with an item that hasn't arrived | eBay

Your problem seems to be the source of a misunderstanding...
Try contacting Customer Service here-------> eBay Customer Service preferably during office hours and ask to be called back. Use the "contact us" tab at the bottom of the page from the link above...
They are the only ones who have access to your account and who can tell where things are getting stuck and why you can't make your return request....
They can also help you resolve this issue.

OP2 years agoSo I clicked on the purchased item, then I did another action and then send back the item, and there I got a message saying .
It’s too early to create a return request !!!!!!!

in the end the delivery is therefore not in accordance with the order, so follow the procedure to request a return:

And on top of that I'm sure he's going to tell me that I sent something other than the book !!!!
I’m expecting that response.
And in the end I’ll have lost everything.
But it’s especially against Ebay that I have this (hate) I can’t find the word.
Because they don’t help a buyer at all.
Their guarantee talk... it’s just hot air once again.
Me, who is so calm and easygoing by nature, well for once yes I’m really furious

Mentor2 years ago? = the link works perfectly 🤔 (otherwise go to the "help" section at the bottom of this page and type "return": you'll get the same link 😉 ).
"you have to wait until April 17" = and why is that? there is no minimum delay for a return request (on the other hand, it has to be done within 30 days of delivery). Aren't you confusing it with a dispute for an item not received? (where, in that case, you do indeed have to wait until the delivery deadline has passed)
"I'm sure he's going to tell me that I sent something other than the book" = because he can prove what the package originally contained??? 😳
In short: make a return request and send back what you received.
If there's a problem, contact customer service (contact link all the way at the bottom of the help page posted earlier).
