I'm getting scammed by eBay
Summary: furnes bought a book for 60 euros on eBay but canceled the transaction after realizing the description wasn’t what was expected. Although eBay promised a refund within 3 to 5 days, furnes still hasn’t received the money, which is causing a lot of disappointment. koalagris advised waiting and contacting customer service if the deadline is exceeded, and provided a link for more information.
hello,
I buy a book for 60 euros, confirm my payment in one click via PayPal and get charged 60 e.
I realize the description isn’t what I thought it was and cancel the transaction.
eBay tells me that’s fine and tells me it will proceed with the refund within 3 to 5 days.
I’m still waiting!
huge disappointment because, as an amateur buyer/seller on eBay for years, I had never been confronted with this, to see EBAY behaving like a thug and not as an intermediary.
the book is still for sale on eBay,
eBay never refunded me...

Mentor1 year agoHello @furnes
For refunds, there are deadlines:
"The refund is issued to your original payment method and the funds are generally available within 3 to 5 business days. If your refund is issued to a credit card, depending on the card-issuing bank, it may take up to 30 days for it to appear on your statement."
If they have passed, contact customer service...
