Is this something that is allowed by eBay, or should I report the listing (or the seller directly)? The timing is too perfect, and the item in question is not something very common, let alone something that goes up for sale every other day.

Re... It's not enough to talk about resemblance or suspicion.... you need to follow through on what you're intending to do... - either you really report it to the site because you have proof of what you're claiming.... Report a problem with a seller | eBay - or you don't say anything because you don't have tangible proof... and that.... that's not off topic.... Suspicions, unproven accusations are legion here... and it's not particularly well received.. Good...
