eBay sellers don't want to refund me
Summary: radoelbour0 ran into problems with a seller on eBay after trying to return an ordered item. They explain that they used a guest account for the purchase, which made the return process difficult. The seller provided a return address but refuses to issue the refund, arguing that the same account had to be used for the return. lingma85 and koalagris say that eBay’s procedures were not followed correctly, which led to the deadlines being missed, and point out that the steps should have been taken within 30 days of delivery. They suggest that the issue now has to be resolved directly with the seller.
Hello,
I placed an order with a seller in Germany, as a visitor. Then I wanted to return the package, I logged in with my account, with which I had not placed the order, then I contacted the seller about returning the order and he sent me his postal address and I sent it back. After that he received it, but he did not want to refund me because, for him, I have to log in with the account I used to make the purchase, whereas it is a guest account. Ebay does not allow creating a guest account.
so I got scammed between the eBay seller and eBay. because eBay tells me that I have exceeded one month for the return, but I sent the package before one month and the seller tells me that I have to log in with the guest account.
so there are flaws in your system or it is done on purpose, I do not know.
how can we, as visitors, not return a package?
why can't we create a guest account if the seller requires it?
how can you solve my problem?
Kind regards

Mentor1 year ago"must" has no place on a help forum...
Your return was made OUTSIDE the eBay procedure (the site could have handled the return to force the refund, but you chose to act freelance), so, given the timeframes, it is now solely between you and the seller.

Even as a visitor, when there’s an issue with a parcel... you have to do things the normal way by going through the help the site offers... Get help when you have bought an item as a guest | eBay
- or, you’ve gone and sorted it out on your own and made a pretty little mess of a knot...
Contact customer service here----> eBay Customer Service
preferably during business hours and ask to be called back.
Best regards
PS ---->
You created your own problem through ignorance.... so don’t accuse others of not following you...

OP1 year agoHello,
I've already called Ebay several times without getting a solution. and I feel stuck dealing with your seller, normally he should reply by email but no. but I was forced to contact him via ebay with my account so he replies to me in such a way that I didn't want to get refunded indirectly .. while he sent me his return address:
here is his email:
Please return the items securely packaged to the address below :
[address]
XXXX is a required field on the return address so that the package can be accepted.
in the link you sent I didn't find: Display order details, then select Disputes.
Best regards

Mentor1 year agoHello @radoelbour0
"ebay tells me that I’ve exceeded one month for the return" = you had 30 days from the delivery date to open a dispute on ebay and you didn’t do it.
There’s now no more recourse on the site, the deadlines have passed, shame you didn’t come to the forum sooner.
Best regards
