Do you agree with eBay's inappropriate zeal in deciding to add the buyer's REGION to the postal address ?? Since then I write this address by hand instead of printing it. Looking at the printed eBay address, some postal workers have pointed to their temple!

Mentor2 years agoGood evening @tennisci
I don't see what's shocking about this addition... since eBay isn't the only platform that does it...
The agents you deal with must not see many parcels or letters coming from other sites that work internationally to have such a reaction...
Best regards

OP2 years agoLike eBay, you're right to apply the saying: why make it simple when you can make it complicated?
Ex: In a letter for Paris, after the postal code, you should suggest to the site that it add: xth arrondissement, Seine, France + European Union!

Mentor2 years agoYou can say or understand whatever you want...
but addresses.... it's like objects and other things... there are standards to follow...
That's why----->
- you have addresses given in a basic way with the minimum info so that the mail reaches its destination and written by any ordinary citizen (which is what you say you do.....)
and
- you have standardized addresses for businesses... ( what you currently criticize as being too complicated for your taste....) and which are set up that way in their mailing or shipping software.
