Delivery with a 13-day delay
Summary: steljmj received an item late after already being refunded following an unresolved dispute with the seller due to family issues. steljmj is wondering whether she is within her rights to keep the item without contacting the seller, since she has already bought another similar item. koalagris advises following eBay’s guidelines, which suggest contacting the seller to reach an agreement, either by returning the item while keeping the refund, or by keeping the item and refunding the seller.
Hello
I had ordered an item that was supposed to be delivered between June 28 and July 2. However, I had filed a dispute that I won because there was no response from the seller. I was refunded. I received the item today, July 15, with an apology note from the seller asking me to call him back to sort out the problem because he had had family issues.
What should I do? Am I within my rights not to call him back and keep the refund? Because I already ordered this item elsewhere and have already received it, so I end up with 2 items and don't want to pay for both.
If you could tell me what you think?
Best regards
Estelle

Keeping a refunded item doesn't leave you with many alternatives when it comes to wording...
Here's what eBay says on the matter:
