Late delivery requested by the buyer
Good evening,
I informed my buyer that their purchase could be refunded while I wait for my return so I can send it.
The buyer tells me not to cancel the order but to ship it to them as soon as I return, scheduled for 05.02.2026
how can I notify eBay of their choice without being penalized for the delivery delay?

Why didn’t you put your account in "away" mode?

the problem is that you indicate a shipping time of within 2 business days in your listings.
If this is not respected, your account will receive a defect. Notifying the site won't change anything because everything is handled automatically.
It is therefore better to cancel the sale and have your buyer place it again when you return.
It would in fact be wiser to put yourself in away mode to avoid having the same issue again.
