Summary: melle*karol shared a shopping experience on eBay where, after paying 5 euros for an item via PayPal, the seller asked for an additional 15 euros. Despite refusing and several exchanges, including an unsuccessful attempt to cancel the order, melle*karol did not get a refund. PayPal was contacted, but the seller is not responding. francexpressdeal pointed out that eBay can’t help because PayPal is already involved.
After receiving an offer email for 5 euros for a tracked item, I paid via PayPal. That same evening the seller (brillante38) asks me for 15 euros more, I obviously refuse to pay, and provide her with a copy of the email with her username, the offer, etc. etc.
At first she refuses to refund me, and looks for an explanation from Ebay. So I make a request to cancel the order, which she refuses. I follow up the next day but she tells me the system doesn't work for refunds. So I don't have the item, no refund, and Ebay informs me with a banner that since I contacted PAYPAL they can't do anything.
I have since contacted PAYPAL but she doesn't seem to be responding to their requests.
Has anyone ever had this kind of problem? Why doesn't Ebay, having access to the exchanges, help more?
