Chinese merchant "based" in France
Summary: bruno542008 reported eBay sellers who list products as being based in France when they are actually located in China. Despite the report, eBay concluded that this did not violate their rules, a decision made by artificial intelligence. jacquelinedu36 shared a YouTube link to keep an eye on, while francexpressdeal pointed out that many Chinese sellers have warehouses in Europe and suggests asking sellers questions rather than reporting them directly.
Some of you will certainly have noticed the sale of cheap products by sellers who have only recently been established on eBay, and whose location is listed as France. But when you look at the account in detail, the seller is located in China. I reported the information. Here is the reply: "We reviewed your report and concluded that the listing did not violate our policy. Automation or artificial intelligence made it possible to make this decision".

Mentor1 year agoHello @bruno542008
for quite some time now, Chinese sellers have reorganized their logistics and most of them now have warehouses in Europe.
So it’s hard to know what the real location of the items is.
That said, you could also ask them the question instead of reporting it to eBay straight away...
