Tired of having all my collectible perfume miniatures taken away
Summary: sissi.austria expresses their frustration at the repeated removal of their perfume miniature listings on eBay, despite the fact that they follow the collectibles category rules. *miss-tigri* says the removals could be due to a dispute with LVMH or a report. sissi.austria mentions a new European law, but francexpressdeal points out that this does not explain the current removals. The discussion also reveals complications because of eBay rules specific to each country. In the end, sissi.austria discovers that their listings were taken down following a report.
I've been on Ebay for 18 years, and since the end of September I've been trying to sell my personal collection of perfume miniatures because I plan to move and I have way too many personal items, but Ebay keeps removing my perfume miniatures from the collection category, which is dedicated to that, with the excuse "not compliant with the rules" even though some private individuals list between 500 and more than 1000 miniatures
I'm talking with a lot of sellers who are also sick of having all their miniatures removed for the same reason !!

Mentor2 years agoSince the dispute between eBay and LVMH ,all the perfumes from this group have been removed from sale ..
Don't insist if you don't want your account to be blocked ..
It is also possible that you are casting a shadow over someone who reports you 😉

OP2 years agono, these are not the banned brands, it's any brand, and no, it's not snitching because we know each other among sellers and we're all in the same boat; Ebay is taking from everyone
there is a new European law on collectibles that comes into effect on December 23, 2024 !!

if you’re referring to the RSGP, that has absolutely nothing to do with the removal of your listings.
Beyond the fact that this law will only come into force on December 13, 2024, thumbnail removals are nothing new. You can read many posts about this on the forum.
If you’re referring to another law, let us know which one, as that may interest other sellers.
If you’re sure your listings comply with the regulations, contact eBay directly.

OP1 year agoI called eBay Austria last night; they can’t do anything, but on the other hand I just realized that all my listings were removed because of a report from another seller!!

Mentor1 year agoEven if ebay France could do something about it, you wouldn’t be able to get in touch with them if you don’t have a French phone number registered on your account...
You are indeed dependent on ebay Austria, while still being subject to ebay France’s Terms of Use since you’re listing your items in France.
It’s up to you to limit your listings to countries that are less picky.
