Edit delivery terms
Summary: sauvechave ended up with incorrect eBay listings, where the delivery terms were mistakenly marked as "In-person pickup." koalagris suggests changing only the listings with no bids received and contacting the bidders for the others. Difficulties still remain, potentially forcing sauvechave to cancel and restart the sale, which he wants to avoid while waiting for the current sale to end. koalagris proposes creating new delivery terms and applying them to the relevant listings by the end of the sale, while emphasizing the need to take steps to prevent future errors.
Hello! Yesterday and today, I listed 123 lots of Champagne capsules for sale, a 5-day sale. Once these listings were posted, I realized they were all assigned “In-person pickup.” I never wanted that: either a mistake on my part or an absurdity. I want my sales to be sent to my buyers by postal mail. When I tried to change these delivery conditions, eBay tells me “We can’t delete these conditions because they’re associated with active listings”. How can I get out of this dead end? I’m going to lose most of my sales, because I sell all over France, and even in Europe. Thank you!

Mentor2 years agoHello @sauvechave
Some of these listings have already received bids: they can no longer be modified.
That’s why you’re getting this eBay message: only select the listings with no bids received and the bulk edit will go through...
For the other listings: contact the bidders to make sure they understood that it was for local pickup (and if not, ask them to withdraw their bids themselves, it will be better for you than having to cancel the sales).
And for your next listings, make sure that shipping is enabled.
Best regards

OP2 years agoThank you for your help. Okay for the sales where there are already bids. For the other listings, I tried in my "Sales preferences manager". I know how to make the change, but eBay refuses to save the change. I called eBay, who confirmed that it is impossible to make the change for ongoing sales. I have to cancel my sales and start them over. 6 hours of mind-numbing work to list this item. No way I'm doing it again. I'm letting the sale end in 5 days, and we'll see. I'll let the buyers know. Thank you for giving me a little of your time. Have a good weekend.

Mentor2 years agoinstead of modifying the sale condition without shipping, why not create a new one with shipping? (and then replace one with the other on the no-bid listings)
"I'll let the sale end in 5 days, and we'll see" = except that unless you've disabled automatic relisting, it'll go around again...
You can manually end all the no-bid listings, and relist them one by one (little by little) from the "unsold" section, to make the shipping change.
