VAT number

Can someone help me make Ebay understand that self-employed entrepreneurs in France do not have a VAT number
I called the Tax Office and Urssaf, and they told me that we don't have a number as self-employed entrepreneurs
Ebay has blocked my account (23 years on Ebay, I've never been treated like this) and customer service isn't responding to any of my messages
What should I do? Close the accounts?

The answers you give depend on how the question was asked and to whom..
A self-employed person may need an intra-community VAT number if they exceed a certain turnover and/or if they carry out sales internationally...
You need to contact the Business Tax Office in your city to get this number..
- go there and see for yourself. They’re used to handling this issue.
It’s not the USSAF that will give you this number... that’s not within its remit.
