On eBay, where can I find the option to benefit from seller protection (against PayPal disputes and other financial institutions)? eBay talks a lot about it in its help pages, but apparently it offers no menu or form to subscribe to it and never offers it to sellers, either at signup or during sales... In short, the info is useless. Yet in the event of a third-party dispute (PayPal for example), eBay first checks whether the eBay seller has seller protection... If not, know that you’re automatically the loser. How do you get this protection? Is it a joke or does it really exist? eBay Customer Service doesn't know anything about it and the Disputes department, which normally only replies to emails after 12 to 48 hours, gets all tangled up on the phone in really unclear explanations that don’t help at all... Honestly, a customer caught between eBay and PayPal must have a lot of courage and patience to get a correct and clear answer.
