Summary: salva562 expresses dissatisfaction with a seller who removed an eBay listing to resell the same item elsewhere at a higher price. He считает that this is dishonest behavior and wonders why eBay does nothing about it. koalagris and madelodie explain that the seller has the right to remove the listing and that he incurs fees for doing so. They point out that nothing illegal was done and that this kind of situation is common on sales platforms.
Good evening everyone.
I had placed a bid on an item concerning a box of cigarette papers from the brand Les 100 Vierges.
The auction was set to end tomorrow 06/01/24 and the seller withdrew the listing saying it contained an error. Obviously, the seller Lesgroies withdrew it because he was afraid of not getting the price he wanted.
Then I noticed that this same seller is selling the same item on **bleep** but at a much higher price.
Why doesn't ebay react to this kind of scam.
Your comments would be welcome.
Thank you!

Mentor2 years agoGood evening
If the seller withdraws the item from sale because of an error in the listing, there’s no reason for eBay to react to that since the option is предусмотрed...

·2 years agoHello,
this is not a scam since you haven't lost anything.
The seller is free to act on their sales; they removed the listing but in return they incurred fees equivalent to a sale.
Even if it's unpleasant for the buyer, there is nothing to be done and Bay will not get involved in a listing.
Best regards.

Mentor2 years agoGood evening @salva562
the seller can dispose of their item as they see fit...
eBay allows the sale to be ended prematurely; however, the seller will have to pay fees to the site for refusing to sell (up to the amount of the cancelled bid).

OP2 years agoBut I insist, this should be forbidden, especially since this seller is currently selling the same item on the **bleep** site.
I think that's not at all serious!!
These are auctions, and people have to deal with them!!
Thanks again,
Salva

Mentor2 years agoexcept that it can't be...
otherwise you'd also have to be able to force a buyer to pay for their purchase...
= it works both ways.

·2 years agoNothing forbids them from selling on another site at the price that suits them.
We buy it or not.
That’s what most sellers do.
Best regards.
