6 months = +/- 180 days = the maximum number of days after payment to open a dispute if paid this way... (check the payment dates and times - if you have 1 or 2 days left) - Contact PayPal
On eBay = you give up, protection is only for 30 days after delivery..
Otherwise, you still have civil recourse, but the seller must be ---->
- a business (French) and you need to have their address-----> send them a registered letter with return receipt explaining what is going on and what they plan to do.
If there’s no favorable response, you need to tell them you’re handing the case over to the DGCCRF... that should get them moving.
if
- the seller is a foreign pro -->= forget it
- the seller is a private individual, if you still have time left on PayPal-----> = 1 possibility, otherwise you’re screwed.
