Item not received

Question

Hello, I bought a vinyl record on August 29 and I was supposed to receive it before September 6. I contacted the seller in Germany and he told me that he hasn't been paid by Ebay so he isn't sending anything.

On the other hand he tells me that the platform will pay him the money on September 13 but it will be too late because it's a gift, why does Ebay hold buyers' money for 15 days???

your seller is not respecting the site’s Terms of Use, which are very clear: once an order is confirmed (= you have paid for it), they must send you your purchase.

Sellers are paid afterward by eBay. The average delay is 48 hours. If your seller only receives their payment on September 13, either they are a new seller or there is an issue with their account.

But once again, that is THEIR problem, not yours. You have paid, so they are obligated to send you your order.

Dispute opened and refunded by Ebay.

Naturally the seller is not happy and made that very clear to me, but well, he's the

one who lost out in the matter.

You are not responsible if the seller hasn't understood anything about how eBay works...

Since they refuse to ship, open a dispute:
