Item not as described
Summary: ujqm5798 received an item that did not match the description, and the seller is asking them to send it back to South Korea, but isn’t providing a return label. Shipping costs amount to €100, which is the same as the price of the item, and the seller is unreachable. lingma85 advises keeping the purchase and possibly reselling it, while suggesting contacting eBay customer service for advice, and recommends buying in France to avoid such problems.
Hello,
I received an item that does not match the description, the seller is asking me to send it back and tells me he gave me a return label (South Korea) but that is not the case. The shipping costs are €100 (the same price as the item I received with shipping included).
I am asking the seller to give me the return label, telling him that the shipping costs are high, but I haven’t had a reply from him for several days. I also can’t ask eBay to intervene because I can’t see the function. The item status is "return in progress": I have to provide the return information.
How can I unblock the situation? thank you for your help

Mentor7 months agoHello @ujqm5798
The return voucher that a Korean seller (or any foreign seller) can give you won't be of any use, since they will pay it in Won (which is their currency) and that will not be taken into account by French carriers, which operate with €...
If the return amount is that expensive... keep your purchase and resell it eventually.
Avoid international products if you're not sure they're compliant... buy in France and you'll avoid the too-heavy shipping and customs clearance fees.
Now, regarding the next step in this transaction, ask Customer Service here------> eBay Customer Service
for advice. They can be contacted during office hours preferably, and ask to be called back.
Kind regards
