Subject: Restriction of orders outside the European Union
Summary: market_de_france, a professional seller on eBay, raised concerns about an order placed by a buyer in New Caledonia, which was processed as if it had come from mainland France. francexpressdeal explained that some buyers in the overseas French territories often list "mainland France" as their address, and that this issue cannot be fixed through shipping settings on the eBay account. market_de_france ultimately shipped the order despite this problem.
Hello,
I am a professional seller on eBay and I am currently having an issue with managing shipping zones.
A buyer located in New Caledonia — therefore outside the European Union — was able to place an order by selecting an address written as if it were in mainland France. This is a problem, because I do not want to ship my items outside the EU.
Could you tell me how to configure my listings or my shipping settings to prevent this kind of order in the future?
I want to limit my sales exclusively to mainland France and/or countries in the European Union.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Mentor1 year agoHello @market_de_france
your listings are already configured that way.
The problem you’re running into is only due to the fact that many buyers from the DOM-TOM indicate "Metropolitan France" instead of their country.
And there’s nothing you can do about that (at your account settings level).
