Gift option
I would like to add the gift option to some of my items for sale, especially toys and other items, with the possibility of including a note with the gift.
Do you know if this is possible, because I looked when creating an ad and I couldn't find anything like that.

What exactly do you mean by "gift option"? What would that involve?
"with the possibility of adding a note to the gift" = if you mean wrapping the item in gift paper, I doubt buyers would like the idea (they will inevitably, and legitimately, want to check that the item they received matches before giving it as a gift).

OP1 year agoYes, I imagine most people will want to check that they've received the right product and see the product quality, and this option will in no way be mandatory. I just want to give buyers the option of receiving their orders directly wrapped in gift paper, with a note or not.
Does this option exist?

Mentor1 year agono, because for the reasons already mentioned, no one will be interested (not to mention a possible mix-up of packages: if, instead of an umbrella, there’s an adult toy - you sell both - it’ll make a mess, at the table in front of everyone... 🙄).

OP1 year agoJokes aside, that's exactly why I'd select certain items with a gift option and not my entire inventory 😅 but if you tell me the option doesn't exist on eBay, no problem, I won't set up a gift option

The feature you're talking about exists on other sales platforms... but on eBay, it's not planned...
One lead------->- if you'd like to provide custom gift wrapping....
- mention that in your listing description
- offer the wrapping/gift paper or other item and the little note at the express request of your buyer ( email to send you right after the purchase... )
- increase each listing you plan to include with this gift by a few tens of cents.. to cover your costs ( if you know how to negotiate your purchases well beforehand.... you may end up making more on it than losing... )
I've already used this system and it works...

OP1 year agoThat confirms for me that the option isn’t available on eBay.
I was indeed thinking of doing as you told me; I think I’ll do that in December in order to allow customers to be delivered directly packaged for the holiday season.

Avoid taped-up final packaging or anything like that...
Your buyer needs to be able to open it and check what they received, then possibly re-wrap the gift without damaging it...
