Can you trust the eBay guarantee?
Summary: moni_8132 is worried about buying an expensive item on eBay that’s described as new but doesn’t accept returns. Despite the seller profile showing 100% satisfaction, she fears a hidden defect. francexpressdeal replies by sharing a link to eBay’s buyer protection, while *miss-tigri* reassures her by pointing out that the seller won’t be able to refuse a return if the item doesn’t match the listing.
Good evening,
I’m looking at a product that’s described as new and does not accept returns. If it’s really the product, I’d be very happy.. but since it’s quite expensive, I have this slight worry that there may be a hidden defect (e.g. damaged product, empty box, wrong model etc).
The listing only has two basic photos that you find everywhere.. but the seller has a 100% reputation score over the last 6 months (about 140 listings I think). So I want to believe it.. But I’m still wary. Hence my question: whether you can trust eBay or not if I receive something that has nothing to do with what I ordered and/or if the item is broken / unusable.
Thanks!
