Several consecutive bids by the same bidder

Hello,
I’ve just become the top bidder on a Maple Leaf, and looking at the previous bids, I can apparently see the same profile bidding several times in a row even though there were no other bids. It drove the bid up by at least 30 euros!
My question: can you bid multiple times on the same item if you’re the only bidder?
I can’t manage to upload the photo of the bids so you can see it 😕
Did I run into a scam?

Thanks for taking the time to reply to me. Your reply shows that we can bid higher, but only when there’s another bidder. Or else I didn’t understand the post you sent me ... 😅

Mentor6 months agoIf you want to place 50 bids, you can, there’s no need for another bidder; however, the price will only move based on other potential bids (if no one else bids, the item will stay at the starting price).
Try it and you’ll see for yourself...
