Why are some bids made in tens of euro cents
Hello. I can’t place bids or raise bids with increments of ten euro cents when some people can.
Please give me an explanation.

You can bid at 0,51€,0,65€ ..etc ,but not less than 0,50€.

It doesn’t work for me, every time the bid goes from 51 to 52€ impossible to set 51.50€ for example.

From €50, the bidding increment is no longer €0.50, but €1.

Ok for bids over €50, but below that I can't bid 15.10 for example on an auction of €15 even though it's possible to bid 2 or 3 cents for some ???

Mentor11 months agoI think you didn’t read, or understand, the explanations in the link posted by misstigri...
If there is a minimum bid increment to respect, there is, however, no maximum = automatic bidding
"whereas it’s possible to do 2 or 3 cents for some?" = no, these people have, necessarily and beforehand, used the automatic bidding system by entering an amount higher than the minimum bid increment. The eBay system will therefore take THEIR best offer + the bid increment, which will give cents or tens of cents.
You should look at the details of the bids in question (you just have to click on the number of bids on the listing), that would help you understand better.
example :
the bid is at 15€
eBay asks for a minimum of 15,50€
I place a max bid of 16,15€ = as long as no one bids higher I’m winning at 15,50€
another bidder places 16€ = eBay automatic bidding, I stay winning at 16,15€ (since higher than 16€, logical)
IF another bid has to come in, it will then have to be at least 16,15€+0.50€ = 16,65€
(so it’s the amount I entered at 16,15€ that will then determine the minimum amount of the following bids)
There’s no other way to explain it....
