price to send a 10 kg parcel to Germany
The prospective buyer is asking me to provide transport and thus delivery of a 10 kg spelter clock. This is the first item I’m selling and I don’t know how shipping works or where to drop off the item

OP5 months agoA big thank you for your replies, but the shipping is done via EBAY, which gives us all the info, including a label to print, or do I have to do it myself via the post office or a carrier.

To send a pendulum clock in spelter... you need sturdy packaging that can withstand shocks because this metal is fragile and brittle.
Pack the parcel like it’s about to play a football match.. otherwise the clock could arrive in pieces. Also protect the mechanism if you can get to it.
Weigh it after packing and see if your shipping rate is correct..
- don’t forget to insure the parcel for the amount of the clock + shipping costs... ( ad valorem insurance possibly... or flat-rate if the reimbursed amount is sufficient )
