Problem with new headphones — possible refund?
Summary: irgoro_1882 bought brand-new Galaxy Buds3 Pro earbuds, but quickly ran into problems with the right earbud. Despite several repair attempts, the issue persists. Since the seller does not accept returns, irgoro_1882 is trying to find out whether it’s possible to open a dispute for a refund. lingma85 and koalagris suggest referring to eBay’s policies and contacting customer service, pointing out that returns are possible for defective items.
Hello everyone,
I bought a brand-new, sealed pair of Galaxy Buds3 Pro earbuds on March 16, received them on March 22. But starting April 2, the right earbud began crackling, making noise, heating up, and fully draining in an hour.
I tried everything: reset, reconnecting, etc. — nothing works.
The seller had stated that they would not take the item back, but since they had 100% positive feedback, I wasn’t worried.
I’m very disappointed: I don’t want to have brand-new earbuds repaired after only a week of use.
Do you think it’s possible to open a dispute to get a refund in this case?
Thank you very much for your help.

Mentor1 year agoGood evening @irgoro_1882
A seller can only refuse a return if the buyer says they changed their mind (return for personal convenience), under no circumstances if the item is defective (and therefore not as described).
If needed, contact customer service as of tomorrow; the contact link is all the way at the bottom of the help page mentioned earlier by @lingma85 (hello to you as well, by the way).
Best regards
