Censorship problem in messages.
Summary: draxhen ran into a problem with a message blocked by eBay when he tried to inform a buyer about a shipping delay related to an issue with Mondial Relay. koalagris provided a link to a discussion thread that might explain the situation, but didn’t give any specific details in his reply. The user is trying to understand why his message was judged offensive or threatening when he believes he was being polite and descriptive.
Hello everyone.
I tried to send the following message to a buyer:
"Hello;
I want to report a delay that is not my fault. In fact, I created a first shipping label on Mondial Relay, then realized that the weight was too high, which would have made me pay more. So I canceled that label, but I can’t create a new one because the order is still marked as shipped on the Mondial Relay website and I can’t enter a new weight in the field provided for that purpose. I have contacted Mondial Relay 4 times in 3 days (3 emails and 1 phone call) without any result so far. I will let you know as soon as your parcel is actually sent.
Kind regards.
Draxhen."
This message was blocked by eBay because of the wording used. Could you explain to me how my words could be considered offensive or threatening? I think I speak correct French and am simply being descriptive. It would be necessary
