Problem returning an item to England
Summary: dreaminbloo bought an item in England that turned out to be defective and wants to return it. The seller sent a return label that can only be used within England and is no longer responding to messages. *miss-tigri* advises contacting eBay customer service to explore other return options, a suggestion that dreaminbloo is considering following despite some initial reservations.
Hello,
so to sum up, I bought a BR (over 50 euros) from a seller based in England, supposedly new, which on arrival wasn’t new and which also wouldn’t even play on my turntable.
After that, I contacted him, but got no reply from him. So I started the return process with eBay. This time, he replied positively and 2 days later sent a shipping label. The problem is that this label can only be used in England. So he wouldn’t refund the return shipping costs, even though they are his responsibility in the case of a defective item. I contacted him again yesterday but since then, still complete silence, and I strongly suspect it will stay that way until the 21st, the deadline for the return date.
So I’d like to know what I can do now, especially if the seller doesn’t contact me again (which he has never done anyway, apart from sending an unusable label).
Thanks in advance for any help.

OP9 months agoThank you for your message, and indeed I had already seen this other option but honestly, since I had never tried it and hadn't seen any reviews about it online, I preferred to come here first. But I think it will probably have to go that way after all...
Thanks again for taking the time to read me and reply.
