Problem returning an item (seller)
I just sold an item and it turns out there was a defect on it; I accept the return as well as refunding the buyer for all costs.
Now eBay has decided to refund the buyer without having them send the item back to me.
Impossible to communicate with eBay.
€250 after all

Had you provided the return slip to the buyer?
You should have waited for the return before confirming the refund ,but you can always contact customer service ..

OP2 years agoI didn't approve a return, eBay sent me a message saying that as long as I didn't have the return there would be no refund.
It's happened to me before and I lost the item.
As for the help link, it's mostly for the buyer.

OP2 years agoI checked, I can't request a return.
What I don't understand is that I want to refund everything + the return shipping.
And that eBay won't even try to understand.
It happened to me once, the buyer kept the item.
I sent a message to explain, 2 hours later they rejected my request.
