Good evening, I'm selling an item. The buyer reserved it for me and the money is held until the item is picked up, except that in the end I have to ship it, so I'm stuck and can't receive the sale proceeds since EBay is asking me for a pickup code that the buyer is supposed to send me, but neither of us has it! I sent the item to them, but how can I let EBay know and get my money? Thanks
You’d do well to go through Customer Service so they can step in and indicate that the transaction is paid and delivered.
On your own, you can’t do anything because a sale with hand delivery is different from a sale with shipping, and the two cannot be confused and/or reversed...
Normally, to switch from hand delivery to shipping, the transaction made with hand delivery has to be canceled... (with a refund if payment was made)... and the listing has to be relisted with shipping so the buyer can purchase and pay for it with the postage amount...
(which you haven’t done because, it seems, you don’t know this subtle distinction...)
As for the funds being held, that is due to the fact that you are a new seller and eBay holds the funds for 14 days to 3 weeks for security...
