Problems weighing postage-paid parcels with Packlink
Summary: walledid explains his difficulties after an amount was withdrawn by Packlink via PayPal for an inaccurate weight adjustment on a parcel shipped with Mondial Relay. He is running into obstacles trying to contact Packlink, eBay, and Mondial Relay effectively to resolve the issue. lingma85 suggests persisting with the claim or linking the eBay account directly to Mondial Relay to avoid these problems. walledid says he does not intend to give up and asks for advice on linking the eBay account with Mondial Relay.
Hello,
I shipped on 21/06/26 via Packlink (Mondial Relay) a 4.7kg parcel, delivered on 25/06.
On 27/07, a month later, Packlink debits my Paypal account for an amount of €7.49 incl. VAT for a price adjustment because the weight weighed by Mondial Relay would be 12.555kg !!!
PACKLINK : Packlink is unreachable, the complaint link does not work! : 1st failure
EBAY : The instant chat on ebay is laborious and leads nowhere despite all the information requested and provided. A first "contact" sends you to a second, then a third who asks for the same information again even though it is already in the discussion thread. In addition, the understanding of the request seems more than approximate, the contact, evidently not French-speaking, having only a digital translation, so inevitably approximate.
Until not long ago, it was possible to request a phone call-back from customer service, which was fully satisfactory, if only because of the friendliness of the person who called back. But that no longer exists. Result: 2nd failure.
MONDIAL RELAY : Requests by phone calls to Mondial Relay, when you are lucky enough to have a human as your contact, never succeed. The contact tells you they are putting you on hold to transfer you to the appropriate department. After several minutes of waiting, the line is cut: 3rd failure.
The same goes for requests sent by email to customer service!
For the record, a second parcel of 1.8kg sent on 11/06 led to the same conclusion after being "weighed" at 5.004kg (what precision!)
Unless I am mistaken, Mondial Relay has videos of these weighing checks, which in the past have always proven me right when there was a dispute about the parcel weight.
It is really regrettable that there is no longer any way to have a contact able to resolve this kind of problem.

Mentor2 weeks agoHello @walledid
Classic Packlink move... You're not the first to run into this problem...
With a bit of persistence, some people have managed to get the scam recognized... but the easiest thing would be to--->
ditch this delivery platform and link your eBay account directly to Mondial Rekay to benefit from the reduced prices...
and/or
Set aside a "losses and profits" budget item to cover this intermediary's whims, if you decide to keep "working" with them...
Kind regards
.

OP2 weeks agoHello,
Thank you for your reply.
As a matter of principle, I won't let go of Packlink until I get a full refund, even if it means contacting the DGCCRF...
Of course, I won't make use of their "services".
How can I link my ebay account to Mondial Relay, which also seems to have been having major IT issues for the past few days?
Best regards,
Didier
