problem with listing for sale
Summary: tanykirov0 explains that he is having a problem with his eBay account showing the wrong geographical location for his sales, because eBay shows that he ships from his country of birth instead of France. He tried to correct the address on the website and the app without success. koalagris suggests providing a residence permit for identity verification, but tanykirov0 clarifies that as an EU citizen, he does not need one and has already provided his tax number. koalagris insists on contacting customer support to solve the problem.
Hello, I’m having a problem with selling, because the wrong location is listed in my profile. I live in France and the items for sale are in France, but I don’t know how eBay is indicating that my location is elsewhere. My ID card is not French and it shows my country of birth, and eBay has set that country as the country I want to ship from, even though I indicated the French shipping address in the 'address' section. I can’t correct it either on the website or in the app. I live in France, and I created the account 9 years ago in Paris. I can’t correct my location either on the website or in the app. There’s no point in making a request to ship from warehouses abroad, because that is not the case here. What can I do?

"My ID card isn't French" = provide a residence permit.
Your account is registered in Bulgaria, so you are subject to ebay.com (not ebay.fr)
Best regards

Mentor1 year agoThat said, for the ebay.fr identity verification you need to provide a French document (see help page), but you don't have one.
= as already said, check with customer service...
