Auction extended by 60 seconds
Summary: derwinskeneda22 shared a statement from eBay about testing the extension of auction times by resetting the countdown to 60 seconds if a bid is placed in the last minute. They expressed concerns about this change, suggesting it may shift eBay towards a platform for professional sales and questioned the duration of the test phase. francexpressdeal suggested contacting customer service for details. derwinskeneda22 mentioned they already tried contacting support twice but received no information about the categories or duration of the test.
I'm quoting the eBay statement again: « We are currently testing extending the auction duration for listings in Auction format in certain categories. Any bid placed during the last 60 seconds resets the countdown to 60 seconds. The auction ends when the countdown reaches zero without any new bid being placed.«
How long is this test period going to last?
Just to boycott for a period at least as long. Between that and the bogus buyer protection fees, you’d think eBay wants to become a business-to-business selling platform…
So how long is this test phase?

"So how long is this testing phase?"
Only customer service will be able to answer you. Ask them the question directly.
