Buyer's reaction regarding the photos of the item they're buying
Summary: mogazelle received a suspicious message from a supposed buyer asking for item photos to be sent to an external email address. koalagris immediately advised running the other way because it was clearly a scam and shared links to eBay policies to stay safe. *miss-tigri* reinforced the idea of never sharing personal information outside eBay's internal messaging. In the end, mogazelle said the buyer never followed up after being advised to contact eBay directly to resolve the issue.
I received this strange message and this request ... I do NOT TRUST it:
"Thank you for accepting my offer, I really appreciate it... please, I want you to try to understand me, the photos of this item are not showing up on my eBay app showing an error, only the name of the item showing that the image is not displaying and my daughter must see the photos before she can make the payment, please check my ebay user
profile my daughter's email is added to my ebay profile verification and send me 3 photos of the item to the email that is on my profile
Thank you and have a good day"
